WE ARE DOING GREAT! WE ARE #3 IN THE GIVE DETROIT CHALLENGE! THANK YOU! 

I was absolutely humbled by your response to my previous email. The
donations were just pouring in, all day long. We sailed through the
$7,000 threshold, and we are now over $7,300. All together we received
donations from over 120 patrons. 

Today is exactly THE MID-POINT OF THE GIVE DETROIT CHALLENGE. Three
weeks down, three more to go. This is a lot of work, but you are the
source of my energy! We must stay where we are on the leaderboard to win
the very important cash bonus, or move forward, and the race is tight… 

This week too, if we receive more donations than other foundations (it
is about the number of donations, and not the amount of money), WE CAN

I wanted to share with you also who was #100. And so it is my pleasure
to introduce to you all Chris Allick, a very recent alumnus of the UDM
School of Architecture, who graduated in 2013. For his work in Masters
Studio he won the UDM SOA Outstanding Thesis Award and the AIA Michigan
Student Design Award. He was in Volterra for the study abroad program in
2011. Currently he is working at the Integrated Design Solutions (IDS)
in Troy, MI. And the best part: Chris got married only a few months ago,
on August 1st this year. His wife's name is Melissa. Congratulations
Chris and Mellissa! And thank you! I am proud to have been part of your
education! 

Once again, great thanks to all of you who support us in the Give
Detroit Challenge. This is a very special privilege of an old professor
to have known almost all of you as students. And now to hear from you
