<p>Dear Friend;</p>

<p>Greetings from Detroit! <br />I am writing you on behalf the Volterra-Detroit Foundation, the educational partner of the UDM SOA. We are a group of UDM SOA Faculty and Alumni who have turned our love and appreciation of the beautiful town of Volterra into educational and artistic opportunities for the UDM SOA <span>and Detroit </span>community. You know us already, you know that we are capable of miracles (with a little help from our friends J ) We are very grateful for your help too…</p>

<p>We have an excellent opportunity to jumpstart a new program in Volterra: Artist in Residence (of course, with Detroit and Michigan artists in our focus). We were nominated for the Give Detroit Challenge with other 49 Detroit foundations. Interestingly, we are the only foundation in the challenge dedicated to art. Our presence in the challenge is also important to show the value of art for all of us. The most important thing though: you can help us win $10,000 or even $25,000 from the sponsors, if we finish at the top of the list. But we need a lot of friends to help us with small amounts of money to make it happen. So here is the question: can you donate $10 to the Volterra-Detroit Foundation?</p>
