Dear Friend;

I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I have an exciting update about our progress in the Give Detroit
Challenge I would like to share with you:

WE ARE NOW #4 OUT OF 50 IN THE CHALLENGE, up four positions since my
previous email to you only three days ago! We have $5,000 in our
account! We are very, very close to being among the top three. If we
finish third in the Challenge, we win $10,000 for the Volterra-Detroit
Foundation Artist in Residence program (and of course we keep all your
donations, too). Higher up, the awards are even greater. Yes, we can do
it!

GREAT THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO ALREADY MADE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS.
Great moment for everybody else to join in. Can you help us with a $10
donation? Click on the link below to make your contribution to the
Volterra-Detroit Foundation through the Give Detroit Challenge:
 https://www.crowdrise.com/givedetroit-volterra-detroit [1]

AND HERE IS OUR SPECIAL GIFT FOR YOU: a weekend online event which is a
tribute to the artistic and academic collaboration between Detroit and
Volterra, realized through the Volterra-Detroit Foundation. You are all
invited to travel in time with us, and visit the Roman Theater in
Volterra in its full glory. You have a unique opportunity to see the
video of the digital reconstruction of the theater as it once stood in
II century AD. It will be published online for two days only, October 17
and 18. Don't miss it!

You can view the video on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/VolterraDetroit [2] or as part of an even more
comprehensive presentation, on the Volterra-Detroit Foundation webpage:
http://volterra-detroit.org/ [3] where you will find also unique
photographs and renderings of the theater.

HOPE YOU ENJOY IT!
